1654
William Farndale,
son of George and Merial (nee Younge) Farndale (FAR00077), was born Skelton in or about 1654 (Skelton PR).
1675
There was an
Ellis, wife of Will Farndale, who was buried at Easington in Cleveland on 30
November 1675 (Liverton PR). It is possible
that William married Ellis first, but that she died soon afterwards.
(Note that there
is a record on the same page of an Elizabeth Benison who was baptised on 15
April 1680. If she was a relative of Mary below, then this places the record in
the right locality).
1678
William Farndale, married Mary Bennyson at Great Ayton on 27 September 1678. (If he
was 24 at his wedding he was born in 1654) (Great
Ayton PR).
1682 … Marriages
… [William Farnedale & Mary Bennyson marryed Septr 27th] (The Parish Register of Great Ayton
(1600-1812) transcribed, edited
and indexed by Walter J Kaye MA, FSA, The Yorkshire Parish Register Society).
1682
Elizabeth
Farndale (FAR00117),
daughter of William ffarnedale of Great Ayton was
baptised on 17 December 1682 (Great Ayton PR).
1697
He was a
benefactor of his grandfather’s Will (FAR00071). I give unto
William Farndale Liverton, two shilling.
1700
William Farndale was sworn in for Jury Service at Loftus in 1700 (Loftus
Manorial Papers). Was this, this William?
